Close Contact

I've been a busy little bee lately getting ready for the June 8th release of my second book in the Alien Affairs series, Close Contact. On June 10th I'll be blogging at the FF&P Blog, and on June 11th I'll be a guest on Cynthia Eden's Blog where I'll be giving away a copy of both Close Encounters and Close Contact to one person who leaves a comment.

Also, I'm thrilled to announce that Close Contact has been choosen by Romantic Times as their June Top Pick. Here's what the reviewer had to say:Add Image

Humor is definitely on tap in the second book of Allred's fun and fiesty Alien Affairs series. Allred's genetically created heroine is a most reluctant operative, one who is more comfortable thowing a diplomatic party than kicking butt. This wonderful book is chock-full of danger, excitement and the heroine's first person offbeat sense of humor. A real gem of a book!

From the back cover:

GEPs just want to have fun...

A Genetically Engineered Person and self-proclaimed "party girl," Echo Adams loves her diplomatic job entertaining alien bigwigs for the Galactic Federation. But the Bureau of Alien Affairs has discovered she's much more than she thinks--that a rogue scientist endowed her with skills and psi abilities dwarfing those of common GEPs. And suddenly Echo's luxury life is over, replaced with a far more dangerous one: a special agent expected to not only chase bad guys but eliminate them.

Echo hates being stuck on Madrea--a planet of techonphobes off limits to Federation visitors--hunting for a stolen quartz crystal with a powerful alien life form embedded inside. She despises the Bureau's restrictive rules--especially the one warning her away from the dangerously seductive commander of the king's army. And if she doesn't learn how to use her alleged super-psi powers soon, her partying days--in fact, all of her days--will be over for good.
